Product description
Sea Shell Marble is a distinctive fossil-bearing natural marble celebrated for its deep charcoal-black base embedded with abundant natural white marine shell fossil textures, widely selected for ultra-luxury residential interiors, high-end boutique hotels, artistic villa customization and characteristic commercial architectural projects. Formed through millions of years of marine sedimentation and geological metamorphism, this stone features compact carbonate crystalline structure with unique fossilized biological relics, softer in hardness compared to quartzite and granite. It presents a profound dark black base tone naturally scattered with irregular white shell and ammonite fossil fragments of varying sizes, creating striking color contrast and primitive marine artistic charm that interprets timeless fossil luxury aesthetics. With stable indoor physical performance, moderate abrasion resistance and distinctive decorative value, Sea Shell Marble delivers outstanding visual effects for interior high-end finishing; external application requires professional sealing treatment. Its favorable polishing performance, exclusive fossil patterns and high ornamental value make it a premium material for luxury wall cladding, feature walls, indoor flooring, custom countertops and full-space artistic interior customization worldwide.

Water Absorption: < 0.28% (Low water permeability; suitable for interior wall cladding, flooring and countertops; sealing treatment is recommended for wet zones)
Compressive Strength: 135 – 185 MPa (Reliable structural strength; mainly applicable for indoor decoration and medium-frequency usage scenarios)
Abrasion Resistance: Moderate wear resistance, inferior to quartzite and granite; ideal for indoor decorative feature walls, low-traffic luxury floors, artistic countertops and bespoke stone furnishings
GANGSAW SUITABILITY
Sea Shell Marble raw blocks are compatible with standard gangsaw processing equipment. Conventional quarry block dimensions fit regular gangsaw cutting specifications. The stone contains unevenly distributed shell fossils, local natural micro-fractures easily develop along fossil interfaces, hardness fluctuates slightly across sections. Special attention is required during cutting to reduce chipping risk. Processing loss is relatively higher than ordinary uniform marble. It is a characteristic fossil marble for slab production and high-end personalized artistic decoration projects.
Recommended Processing: Gangsaw slabs (2 cm & 3 cm), followed by calibration, edge trimming and high-gloss mirror polishing
Expected Slab Yield: Approximately 80–88 slabs per block (based on 3 cm thickness)
Polish Result: Glossy deep black mirror surface with clearly outlined white shell fossils, presenting strong visual contrast, unique three-dimensional fossil texture and exclusive primitive marine luxury decorative texture
